2009 Awards Banquet ends highly successful racing season at Dixie Motor Speedway |

 A standing room only crowd packed themselves into the cavernous Birch Run Expo Center in Birch Run, Michigan on Saturday, November 7, 2009 for the 2009 Dixie Motor Speedway Awards Banquet as the racing season officially came to a close and all focus is now shifted towards the much anticipated 2010 campaign.
Co-Promoters, Jeff and Pam Parish of Checkered Flag Promotions officially closed the curtain on the 2009 racing season as Director of Media / Public Relations – P.A. Announcer, Matt Prieur was the Master of Ceremonies for the gala evening as the six Track Champions within the Weekly Local Racing Series were honored as well as a host of well deserving award winners.
Special Awards handed out included; Schaefer-Bierlein Dodge of Frankenmuth picking up the Sponsor of the Year Award while Al Christensen won the Mechanic of the Year. Leo Plamondon won the Fan of the Year as Chris Klein won the Dixie Lady of the Year, Chet Allen Sr., won the Dixie Man of the Year Award, Anne Priebe was the emotional winner of the Volunteer of the Year and Chief Pit Steward, Dennis Mahar won the Employee of the Year.
The 2010 racing season is up next as Checkered Flag Promotions is diligently working on finalizing everything concerning the 62nd year of operations for the Birch Run, Michigan facility.
