We wanted to take some time out to express heartfelt thanks to the marketing parternships that we have entered into here at Dixie Motor Speedway. We are very blessed to have business's in our community that are active in our motorsports community. We have been in contact with some and many more to be contacted in a few short weeks.
When the world was in the best of times Motorsports sponsors were easy to come by and race tracks historically around the world just "sold signage". Branding is a very important aspect of advertising- extremely important, however we here at Dixie Motor Speedway and at the Owosso Speedway are launching programs to help our area business's. It is our intent to specifically drive our motorsports customers back to the business's that support us. It is no secret in our racing world that racers and thier families take care of their own. You can look around every year and the generousity of our racing family is easy to see. When someone is in need we have thier backs. It is incredible and from my perspective of the behind the scenes things I have witnessed happen there is a sobering experience at times as to how supportive our racers are.
The reason that we express this to you today is that business in Michigan is in a real fight. When someone will spend a dollar to support a class, car, event or speedway we need to work extra hard to support them. Big chain store Corporate sponsorships sound very romantic and impressive when talked about- but the underlying truth is that when money is spent locally here in our community 80% of that money is retained in the community. Small business is the lifeblood of racing. If you see someone has put it on the line to sponsor someones race car- or has stepped up to advertise at our tracks please take a moment to thank them. Even if you do not have a dollar to spend at that particualar moment - your acknowlegment means that their branding of thier product was effective. You remembered their name. If they have spent it to support all of us- Please be extra thoughtful in your considerations for purchase. Racing takes care of its own. It is our aim to prove that time and again.
If you own or manage a business that would like to see more customer traffic - send us an email or drop us a line. We have a program that will work for you!
In times of belt tightening on of the first things some business's cut back on is advertisement. Smart business- spends more during these times. Its one time for certain you can get a leg up on your competition!
See you in a few short weeks!
