Dixie 2013 Schedule News 

Racers and Fans will see numerous changes at Dixie  Motor Speedway for the coming season; most notably in the schedule.  Although for many years, the first race of the season has been scheduled for mid to late April, fighting the weather has proved to be a losing battle, so this year, Dixie's season opener is scheduled for May 10th.  Also, for the first time, Memorial Day and Labor  Day weekends will find the facility closed. 

Track owner, Mike Kern, put it this way; "2012 was  the most challenging year we have had since 1997 when we lost 11 events to poor weather while getting in just 13 dates. Today's issue is one of economics for racers and fans. Beginning this year, we are reinventing ourselves to better reflect the reality of today's economic and entertainment choices". 

New for this year are "Five-Dollar Friday" events. Admission is just $5 for these dates. Five-Dollar Fridays replace some of the traditional weekly shows. Once again, special events and regular-priced events will see prices hold the line.  

Also new this year will be the revamped "Dixie Cup Series".  These 3 events will now consist of $1000-to-win 50-lap events for Pro Late Models and Modifieds along with 35 laps for X-Cars and 30 laps for Bombers. 

Special events will also include the Outlaw Super Late Models of the Main Event Racing Series, Auto Value Super Sprints, CRA Super Series, CRA JEGS ALLSTAR Series and Eve of Destructions. The complete schedule will be posted soon. Please note that the schedule is subject to change.
